An acupuncture treatment uses sterilized stainless steel needles that are very fine in size and gently inserted into acupuncture points to elicit various responses to assist in blood circulation and encourage the body to heal. The acupuncture treatment can include the use of acupuncture needles, electro acupuncture, cupping, moxa and Gua Sha.
A cupping treatment uses glass cups that are heated and put on the body. The cups can be stationary or moved around. Cupping is used for different purposes; pain relief, inflammation, enhanced blood flow, relaxation and detoxification. It can leave round bruises that will diminish over time.
